Position Overview

The Director of Earned Revenue leads Mission Triangle’s staff and strategic consultants to utilize the earned revenue services to Mission Triangle’s no-cost model in order accelerate nonprofit growth. The Director of Earned Revenue is responsible for managing Mission Triangle’s earned revenue product & service portfolio. He or she is responsible for business development, sales, and retention of earned revenue clients. He or she will manage a team of strategic consultants to deliver on several earned revenue services. He or she is responsible for hitting revenue and profit targets, creating value-add services, growing the unit, and maintaining quality of services in order to fulfill our mission by accelerating nonprofit’s journey to health and sustainability.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Manage portfolio of earned revenue services & products

  • Manage portfolio including: 

  1. Assessing: BHA Reviews, SWOT, other “canned products”

  2. Training: PathWay, Workbooks

  3. Implementing: Cohorts, Consulting

  4. Expansion: Sister Cities

  • Sell, manage delivery of, and ensure quality of earned revenue services

  • Work with the Program Team to develop, promote, and deliver earned revenue services that accelerate a nonprofits journey to health and sustainability

  • Ensure implementation services are metric-based (for the nonprofit, the funder, and for Mission Triangle) and that metrics are monitored and consistently reported

  • Hit revenue and growth goals

  • Ensure profitability of earned revenue services

  • Lead administrative support colleague to manage billing and accounts receivables


Business development and sales

  • Leverage Mission Triangle no-cost model, community trust and credibility relationships to sell earned revenue services (mainly new consulting projects, recruiting for Cohort members, PathWay subscriptions)

  • Promote earned revenue services to nonprofits and funders via multiple mediums and cultivate referrals

  • Retain and grow current clients use of services


Recruit, manage, and retain Strategic Consultants

  • Staff Strategic Consultant team with experts in our core competencies who align with our mission and values

  • Drive training, continuing education and quality service delivery across consulting team

  • Build a culture of peer support, mutual learning, best practices sharing and camaraderie among consultants

  • Ensure strong performance and delivery among consultants and excellent feedback from clients regarding projects


Manage Sister City Implementation

  • Serve as POC for our Sister Cities initiative, ensuring Mission Triangle considers how our programs and operational decisions and changes affect Sister Cities

  • Support Executive Director in growing number of Sister Cities

Qualifications

The Director of Earned Revenue must be a follower of Jesus Christ – and in agreement with Mission Triangle's statement of faith, values and core beliefs. He/she must also be committed to growing as a nonprofit leader, learner, teacher, and consultant.


In addition, the following qualifications are desired in this role:

  • Sales experience

  • P&L experience

  • Consulting experience

  • Leadership and manage experience (ability to attract, grow, lead, develop, retain a team to deliver on organizational goals)

  • Nonprofit experience preferred

  • 4-year degree / Masters-degree preferred

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and highly competitive within the nonprofit sector. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401K and other generous benefits.

Working Conditions

The Director of Earned Revenue will report to the Senior Director of Operations and is expected to work an average of 40-45 hours per week (hybrid role – office & remote). This role requires time in the community meeting with nonprofits, training and coaching consultants, meeting with potential business partners, and leading Implementation team meetings.
