Position Overview
The Training and Coaching Lead works with Mission Triangle’s Program Director to develop resources and train and support nonprofits to become thriving organizations. The position ensures the successful delivery of Mission Triangle assessment, training, and implementing programs and cultivates a growing nonprofit community.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Execution of Key Mission Triangle Programs
Cultivate the nonprofit community Mission Triangle (MT) serves
Recruit, (re)engage, retain, and expand our relationships with target market nonprofit leaders/boards to become trusted partner and coach
Serve as a point of contact for inquiries from nonprofits
Represent MT at key community nonprofit functions
Assist the Program Director in developing resources & tools for MT programs including:
Curriculum for Core Competencies
Tools and resources to support continual learning with PathWay
Utilizing Salesforce to best support nonprofit clients
Assessing
Drive Thrive Index adoption and usage as a valued tool for the nonprofit community
Utilize the Thrive Plan to ensure the Thrive Index, curriculum, and coaching, lead to documented health for individual nonprofits and collectively for MT’s outcome measures
Training (workshops, small groups, PathWay)
Recruit nonprofits to engage in MT training events
Develop training materials (PowerPoint slides, worksheets, etc.)
Lead/teach workshops/small groups to accomplish training goals and expand nonprofit health
Develop partnerships and recruit guest speakers to supplement MT training
Drive PathWay utilization hitting adoption and utilization and retention goals in partnership with Director of Client services
Lead PathWay/online conversations, create an online community (future)
Implementing (coaching, consulting, cohorts)
Serve as a lead coach for nonprofit clients (while leveraging the Thrive Plan)
Ensure documented impact and feedback scores
Partner with Dir. Of Client Services to convert coaching to consulting
Lead MT cohort(s) (Executive Directors, Development Directors, Operations, etc.) as applicable. Support curriculum development.
Qualifications
The Training and Coaching Lead must be a follower of Jesus Christ. He/she must also be committed to growing as a nonprofit leader, learner, teacher, and coach. In addition, the following qualifications are desired for this role:
In agreement with the Mission Triangle statement of faith, values, and core beliefs
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
Working knowledge of online database system(s), e.g., Salesforce, Campaign Monitor
Detail oriented
Nonprofit experience
Teaching/training experience (coaching/consulting experience a plus)
Proven communicator, with public speaking experience
Proven organizational effectiveness experience
Comfortable with people of different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
4-year undergraduate degree
Compensation
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and a generous benefits package.
Working Conditions
The Training and Coaching Lead is expected to work an average of 40-45 hours per week. The job is predominantly office-based, especially during core office hours Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm, with the exception of one WFH day. Activities/events may require occasional evening, early morning, or possible weekend work. Must be able and willing to lift items up to 25 pounds.
